Accessing (Paper based) StratOG and StratOG.net?
Unfortunately, purchasing the remaining copies of StratOG (ed1) does not mean you have access to StratOG.net. The online component for the paper based StratOG (ed1) can be found here.
StratOG and StratOG.net are separate O&G learning tools, StratOG.net improvements include:
- interactive assessment with instant, detailed feedback
- the facility to save assessment scores
- links to guidelines and a library of reading material
- streamed videos of procedures and scans
- animations to simplify complex principles
- discussion boards to enable relevant debate
- the facility to attach reflective notes to web pages and create an online e-portfolio.
I'm having trouble logging into StratOG.net
1. Make sure that you are trying to access the correct StratOG/StratOG.net site.
See '(Paper based) StratOG and StratOG.net? ' above.
2. Check that your computer is running the internet as usual.
3. Make sure that your CAPS lock button is not on and that you entered your username and password correctly.
4. Follow prompts for forgotten passwords located below the log in area.
5. If all else fails, contact StratOG.net through the 'report a problem' link at the bottom the page.
How do I receive the free e-tutorial?
Once you have registered for StratOG.net online you automatically receive the free Teaching tutorial (indicated by a tick on the e-tutorial menu page).
Will I get a certificate so that I do not need to attend the StratOG workshop which is a requirement in Pakistan?
There is no certificate of completion for StratOG.net tutorials. However, once you have completed each tutorial you can print a StratOG.net learning record which details your average scores for that tutorial as well as stating that you have completed all material.
You will have to check with your learning provider whether this is applicable for your course.
How can I change my password?
Once you have logged in you name appears at the top of the screen. By clicking on your name you will be taken to your registration details where you can amend your password as well as other details.
Is there a way that I can view the learning history for all the tutorials I have purchased simultaneously?
Currently viewing tutorial:
If you click on ‘learning history’ once [right menu] you will see your learning record for the currently viewed tutorial. Click it a second time and you will be taken to a general learning history overview.
From E-tutorial menu:
Learning history takes you to a general overview automatically.
How much does StratOG.net cost?
StratOG.net is sold by individual tutorials. There are 94 tutorials, and each tutorial is either £10 or £15 (inclusive of VAT). We offer a bulk purchase discount: for every ten tutorials that you buy in one transaction you only pay for nine.
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) is now able to offer StratOG.net to under-resourced countries at a discounted price. Click here for details. Please note that this discount is currently only offered to institutions that pay by invoice. The tiered price structure will be applied to online purchases from early 2009.
Please note that all prices are subject to change.
I wish to buy all E-tutorials, how do I do that?
You can purchase as many tutorials as you'd like from the StratOG.net by simply adding each tutorial to the shopping cart and purchasing from there (Barclays secure site).
Each tutorial is roughly the same content length as a textbook chapter and depending on the subject contains videos, assessments, diagrams, expert consultation, case studies and animations.
